Slow Internet
Is it just me or does the internet seem to have slowed to a crawl here lately? I know its not my connection or even spyware/malware on my computer. It just seems like every webpage I have been to in the last few days has been really slow loading. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

Nope.
Not feeling it here, maybe it's something in your connection (hardware-wise)?
My neighbor movies his cable modem sometimes and has to adjust the cords (not sure why) to get it to run faster sometimes.
Either that, or the servers for the sites your going to might be getting some extra traffic.

I know its not my connection
How do you know it is not your connection? What steps have you taken to check? Troubleshooting procedure etc, What is your connection type? D/U,cable, etc, etc. Please be specific, otherwise you are just wasting peoples time. Guru's there may be on this site, I have yet to come across anyone with exceptional mind reading talents

seems ok here..
just check that there isn't a kink in your cable
Joke aside..
I regularly benchmark my connection, especially when things slow down. If there is a slowdown it is normaly during peak times and it is an ISP problem..
Also you could try a a trace prog like pingplot et al.. this can show if there is a bottleneck in the path.. some results can be misleading (some routers reject pings or deal with them as a lower priority)
just how many sites are you haveing troubles with?
give us a example or 5 .. don't list www.big****.com works nice and fast for me..
cheers

Thanks for the replys. Well I went through my whole cable system and found the reason of my slow downs. I had a major cut in two of my cables comming to and from my modems. after that was fixed I am back to top speed again. Thanks again.

Well the prize goes to Winds8929,
I never thought of that, although I did have a similar sort of experience a few years ago with dial-up. The phone jack was in the hallway so I had a cable running under the door..after about 18 months opening and closing the door wore away the casing.
Whenever a bus or heavy truck went by it vibrated the house and I got kicked off the net. It would then re-connect OK
Took me a while to figure that one out
