    Anti-Spyware Software Development Kit Released

InterMute First to Enable ISVs to Accelerate Time to Market When Creating Enterprise Anti-Spyware Solutions

InterMute, Inc., a leading provider of Internet security and content filtering solutions, today announced the SpySubtract Software Development Kit (SDK), to allow independent software vendors (ISVs) to efficiently develop Enterprise Anti-Spyware solutions for their enterprise security customers.

InterMute is licensing their modular anti-spyware SDK, built with industry-standard Microsoft Visual Studio C++, to provide developers with a fast way to enhance existing security software products, to protect against spyware threats. Modularity and portability have been designed into the SpySubtract code base from day one. Plus, InterMute's technology is field proven; no other anti-spyware solution ships pre-loaded on more new PCs than InterMute's SpySubtract PRO.

You didn't specify your software specification?
What OS are you using?(there is difference between developing it on 98 and XP or 2003 i suggest you develop it in XP coz in that case it will run on 98 too if you are using vc++ if u develop it on 98 then it might not run on XP this has happened to me in my graduation project)
And what platform are you using?

I suggest you go for vc++(if you want to provide GUI support) or c++.
Now if you are looking for ready made code then i am affraid it is not available on net(i just googled it)

Although i must say it is a wise choise as graduation project and trust me it is damn tough to develop it.

Ummm, I saw this thread and raised an eyebrow to say the least. But first, the Anti-Spyware SDK sounds pretty nice, and if somebody is developing an anti-spyware for a project, that would be a good way to start at least. However, I do not think a company that is looking to cut the throat of another would not really want to use an SDK that needs special licensing. If you are out to make a quick dollar, then it may be no big deal...

If you are that new to programming (whatever language or OS), then this project may not be for you because you are headed to disaster. Perhaps you need to learn the basics before jumping into the deep water. When developing a piece of anti-spyware, you are taking on a pretty big project. I am not trying to discourage you from your dreams of a useful piece of software, what I am saying is as a newbie, you really should think twice about this.

If you can learn any programming language in six months would be pretty amazing.

Come on donkey give him a break.By the way would you consider VB a language or not coz it takes what 6 hour to learn that.

Snail what donkey is trying to say is that if you are not sure about whether you will be able to develop it or not then rather don't take it up as graduation project.

Snail have you thought about IDS?
Intrusion detection system......I think it is pretty cool topic and you will learn a lot while developing it.
I believe a friend of mine has done it in perl on red hat 9(with GU interface).

Yes, Visual Basic IS a language and perhaps YOU can learn it in six hours, but not everybody can. I just want to spare him heartache in case it does not work. I have no idea what's with people and hatred for Visual Basic or that it is not a language. It is.

Lastly, as for giving the man a break, I am. You would know if I was not.
