Over the weekend, I had a LinkSys router go poo poo on me so I had to act fast and get the internet connection back up in my home (My kids scream bloody murder if IM is down for more than 30 seconds). I threw together a linux box with two NICs, locked the hell out of it and installed Fire Starter, a GUI FE to IPTABLES. You can quickly configure it to act just like a NAT firewall device complete with its own DHCP service. It's very easy to use and setup. It will do nicely until I can find my way to best buy or radio shack. For those who want to play, here ya go:
