Does anyone have more information on that CNN virus?

I was wondering if anyone had any more information on that virus disguising itself as a legit CNN headline, and that changes itslef with the headlines? Cause I am subscribed to CNN's emailing of headlines, but since reading that warning posted on AO yesterday, I have been just deleting them without reading them. Is there any way to distinguish from an email that actually came from CNN and one that is the virus? And how exposed am I to actually contracting this virus? Can it infect my computer even if I don't open it?
