British plant can't account for almost 30 kilos of plutonium but not worried
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...tain_plutonium
The amount of material listed as missing at the Sellafield plant in northwestern England was "within international standards of expected measurement accuracies for closing a nuclear material balance at the type of facility concerned," the authority said.
Willing to risk your family's life on an accounting error? With this stuff there shouldn't be any inaccuracy.

I used to work in the automobile repair business, and I can tell you,
that if you misplaced 30 kilos of used motor oil your ass would
be in a sling. I guess it pays to have friends in high places.
I came in to the world with nothing. I still have most of it.

30 kilos, not worried at all. Now if it was 35 then I would be worried.

I work in a chair factory making casino chairs. If you miscount the chairs by 3, it's better to put in your 2 week notice.
I\'d try to be pestimistic, but that probably wouldn\'t work.

Yeah and I bet Moscow can't account for a couple metric tons of weapons grade plutonium, including a couple suitcase nukes, a slew of stolen hafnium, cadmium and boron cooling rods and the like. It's a beautiful world! Iran with its nuclear ambitions, it makes me sick.

30 Kilos of motor oil and 30 kilos of plutonium aren't the same. One Gallon of Uranium wieghts 152 pounds or so (depending on the isotope). 1 kilo is 2.2 pounds. So 30 kilos of something is 66 pounds (2.2 x 30). I guess they lost less than half a gallon "on paper"?? 30 kilos of motor oil is... I would have to weigh a quart and see. wait I have google!! The shipping weight of SAE 10w-30 is 2.1 pounds. Let's just call it 1 quart for each kilo so that would be 30 quarts approx. Do the gallon conversion and 30 kilos of motor oil is: 7.5 gallons. 15 times the amount of the same weight in Unranium. Yes I had wayyyyyyy to much coffee today.

Don't you have any stories, national and/or local in Canada that are newsworthy?

I'll answer this! Perchance it's a humdrum society up there? News from Canada is like news out of Kyrgyzstan, it’s irrelevant to most Americans. In other words we're a rock star society they are not.
