The Specialist,
Question: if all it takes to get banned is having more than one account...then why is Ladybug/tinkerbell69 not banned...neither account is disabled and neither says under member status: banned.
Or is banning for double memberships at the discretion of the mods and administrators ?

MsMittens,
Apparently tinkerbell69 doesn't have access to her old account...not because she was banned or disabled...but because she simply doesn't remember her old password and no longer has that e-mail address. Both accounts are still active but she can't access one...
BTW, you wanna do some real work, get me access to my old account because i can't seem to find my old password and I don't have access to my old email anymore... or maybe you decide you gotta ban me altogether. Let's see. Au revoir!
Truly Yours,
Ladybug.
It doesn't matter to me anyways...I was just responding to Specialists claim that double accounts is cause for banning.

I think the multiple accounts/AP abuse has more to do with giving yourself AP's from dummy accounts, or perhaps using two accounts to neg someone, harrass, etc. It refer's to someone circumventing the restrictions placed on users accounts (for example, the waiting period after assigning AP's before you can assign more to the same person).

Hi zencoder,
You know...that never even crossed my mind...
giving yourself AP's from dummy accounts,
that would explain the reason why someone would have multiple accounts. I was trying to figure out the reasoning behind it.
Thanks,

Question
Well, I guess AO should review the RULES regarding multiple accounts. As far as I can understand, multiple accounts were prohibited.
If you have a problem with your account, you have to report it somehow to AO Admins/Moderators. The question is “how can someone report problems to AO if he/she could not access such account?”. Please STRETCHOUT the details on this issue.
BTW, you wanna do some real work, get me access to my old account because i can't seem to find my old password and I don't have access to my old email anymore... or maybe you decide you gotta ban me altogether. Let's see. Au revoir!
Truly Yours,

Exactly how will an AO Admin/Moderator should handle such case like the above?
That’s why in my case, when I messed-up with my account few days ago, something to do with the cache settings because the provider here uses MULTIPLE proxies (which during the time that I change my settings, I haven’t read the FAQ about it). After changing the settings, I could not logon to AO. I could not even report the incident myself to AO. That’s why I seek assistance from a friend and ask him if he want to join AO and check out the community. After creating his account, I also ask him to report my situation. The Admins/Moderators were helpful enough and by explaining the situation clearly to them, changed my settings back to the original for me to access my account again. Voila! Here I am again.
Thanks TesTDrivE!
I AM VERY SORRY FOR SOMEWHAT BEING OFF-TOPIC.
Yo!

In the end I was banned for some petty stuff, double accounts to be exact. If it ain't that then people mostly get banned for AP abuse.
Do people get banned due to using bad language,or due to threatening newbies, making a mess of a nice discussion, abusing peoples(newbies to be speific) and a lot more of those tactics used by TheSpecialist?
The answer i suppose is no.
But why?
BTW TheSpecialist No offence meant .....just curious.

Umm sorry - didn't mean for this to spill over the way it did, I was mostly curious as to why people got banned - mainly because so I made a mental note NOT to execute the offending action(s). Meaning that while there are the known and written rules, I know there are always the unwritten rules and implicit expectations.
Egaladeist:
I think you're question has already been answered...if you're looking for specifics I doubt anyone is going to give them to you...for one thing it's really none of our business...and secondly, this is not a gossip room...no offense intended but to hash over people's indiscretions and put them on public display is not appropriate...in my opinion.
Thanks for that, but I would not care to know who did what - just the actual offending action or material, so I know how to better carry and represent myself. Most of it is common sense, I just neeed to "trust - but - verify".
Thanks to The Specialist for the below:

Finally - thanks to everyone else for the great information from everyone - it's helping out a lot!
