    New wireless vulnerabilities??

    Hey,

In my morning IT readings I found an article on MSNBC discussing new wireless vulnerabilities??

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6998751/

It discusses vulnerabilities where you don't even know you are being monitored and they call them Stealth attacks. I couldn't find any recent posts regarding this and I thought to share it...

PS> There is a PDF discussing Ariadne protocol...

Not too impressed by that article, its just MSNBC's way of scaring people. These attacks have always existed on wired and wireless networks. They failed to mention anything new in my opinion.....sounds like basic arp poisoning.

I kinda thought the same thing... just a mainstream media outlet pointing out some of the obvious flaws in wireless.

I did a Antionline search for stealth attacks and nothing recent came up so I thought to post it.

But it did outline MITM attacks in a way a newbie could understand..

Agreed, its juts silly how they warn people that malicious hackers are going to ruin your life. Its just another term tech people will have to break down to lay users.
