    Linux - AIDE IDS

I just installed AIDE on a linux server (from an rpm), and everything seemed to go well, but I ran into a problem.

A lot of different sources suggest that you keep the binary, conf, and database on read-only media, like a floppy with the write-protect on. But, I can't fit everything on one floppy, not even just the binary and database.

I have a cd burner, but it's on a computer running Windows XP. Would that make a difference?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean would the Linux box read the CD burned on a WinXP machine, then the answer would be yes.

If you need something more than that maybe you could elaborate a bit.
