I dont know what "dreamweaver search feature" is there but as far as I know you need a server side script (search engine) that runs and outputs the search results to the client. I mean that behind that cool "search" button there is always an action sent to some sort of script - maybe you need to read some about html and websites too.
I guess there is a "Search Form" creator in dreamweaver only or that is a pre-made search form that needs a special webhost with some server includes.
I suggest you do some google search for free php script website search engine. Here is an example: http://www.phpdig.net/ or this one that uses actually google for searching on the website http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/search/
PS
You could try to search in your dreamweaver help files about the "search form" you used too - how it suppose to work or some other kind of info.
Good luck.
