    Limewire vulnerabilities

Guys i read from a limewire pro version's read me file ( Version Limewire 4.1.2 - 4.5.6) that "Recent versions of the LimeWire client contain vulnerabilities that allow a remote user access
to many or all files on a users machine. LimeWire is a popular client for the
    Gnutella filesharing network.
Linux and Windows platforms are both vulnerable."

is this true if so how can i protect my files from being downloaded b others is this possibl eonly during a session of limewire or even if i am connected to the net and not using Limewire

Did you update to this like it says on LimeWire's site?

Mac Classic users, please upgrade to 4.0.10.
