    I seem to be missing the authentication and advanced tabs, and the machines are behind a switch.

    You're connecting from point A to point B over the internet?

    What devices do you have in line from the cable coming in to your NIC?

    On the machine you're trying to get to, if you run ipconfig from a cmd prompt, does the IP address start 192.168?

    The machines are getting an internet connection through switches, the ip addy doesn't start with 192.168 so i think it isn't an outside network address? Is that right?
