International bank HSBC deluged by viruses

    http://news.zdnet.com/2100-1009_22-5...=zdfd.newsfeed

International bank HSBC is suffering thousands of virus attacks a day, a top executive at the company has revealed.....

...HSBC holds more than a trillion dollars in assets, making it a tempting target for virus writers and hackers. But e-mail identity theft scams are posing a greater threat to the bank's 18.9 million online customers, Jebson said.
I'm assuming these are unsuccessful attacks or they'd be more prominent in the news.

Yikes, I'm sure incidents like that are probably fairly common.

I believe those figures. I hope these are the ones that got filtered..

We normally block about 40.000 viruses per month with some months peaking to 80.000 depending on what's out there.....
