ftp in or out??
Do you have a firewall? What type?
Does it work now?
if not...what are the errors you get?

in or out? i guess in: i am putting like ftp://ftp.whatever.com, expecting results.
error is: FTP FOLDER ERROR
Wiindows cannot access this folder
Make sure you typed the file ................correctly
Details: This computer is disconnected from network
I have tried many different sites including this one...
As far as firewalls go, i havent installed one yet, but does xp have something alredy setup?

So you are just trying to FTP into various sites??
As ©opy®ight said...not every one allows ftp...for various reasons.
What are you trying to do...from what it sounds like you are trying to ftp out..and it should work...depending on the site..and if your are allowed if they allow ftp in
