PC Admin via PDA'a Bluetooth?
anyone out there seen anything for a pda that allows you to admin a computer via bluetooth? I have a zire 72s, and a computer with a usb bluetooth dongle so i'm looking for an app i can run from my PDA to access my computer and it's files from the pda. Any suggestions?

you may want to check out the software that came with your PDA, the sync software may have a bluetooth option for wireless sync. This would in essence give you access to your files.

Is there a specific reason behind your request ?
or is it something to do because it CAN be done ?
Work related or SOHO ?
Freeware or paid for ?

Get PalmVNC. You'll have to use Internet Connection Sharing to dish out an ip address to the palm pilot and then you can connect over tcp/ip. If you want internet connection on the palm, then you'll have to bridge your Bluetooth connection with your internet connection.
I've done it a couple of times. Its not really worth the ability. If depending on the class of bluetooth... you'll get a 10meter to 100meter range.

Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

yeah i do a lot more reading then posting on this site. But yeah just to be able to do. The software that came with it allows the exchange of files, but i'm looking for something that allows me to connect and have the ability to explore the entire file structure on the computer. no license pref. VPN is good from what I have seen but anything that doesn't require a program to be installed on the computer?
I have seen programs that allow someone to.... um get around computer passwords from a palm over a bluetooth connection...any idea on what that was?

First off you would need to install the drivers for the dongle in any case. and no, there is not way to do what you are asking. there would have to be a third part program to allow full control of the other pc. BUt now you sound way too sketchy becasue you sound like you want to be able to just walk around and take over peoples computers.

why would anyone want to do a thing like that?
Yeah i set up VNC, works pretty good, a little slow at times but other than that no problems.
