IIS logging for stopping a site
Hello...Is there a way to provide more granular logging for IIS 6.0 that would log an event to the server event logs when a site is stopped? I have all possible auditing on W2K3 turned on but cannot find an event when I start/stop a site via IIS admin.
The only way I can tell a site is stopped is an entry similar to the following in the IIS logs.
#Software: Microsoft Internet Information Services 6.0
#Version: 1.0
#Date: 2005-04-27 04:02:00
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thank you

If you have system logging properly set to log process events you should see the process stopping and starting in the system log IIRC..... But I am a little "distracted" tonight... Too much going on to think clearly.... Try it though.
