Gender Equality - My...er.... Sexist Left Foot
I'm stunned by this one guys. I guess that the liberals at USCF are saying that boys will grow up to be inherently sexist and that we have intervene as early as possible, in order to make sure our young boys grow up to be woman fearing WUSSES! Is it not bad enough that any woman can claim that a male "touched her in an inappropriate manner," and can basically be assured that the male in question will have a ruined reputation in the surrounding community for the rest of their lives. Whether the claim is true or not.
Well if boys have to take sensitivity training, then the girls need to take insensitivity training, so that they can better identify with males. The curriculum can be; Creative Profanity, Fighting Individual and Gang, Cheerleader Oggoling, Researching Pornagraphy Internet and Print, Footbal Statistics, oh and we can't forget the ever popular Art of Reading Penis Enlargement Ads and Gang Bang Theory 101.
And the left marches on.
[quote]Pre-teen boys who go to the "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" today at the University of California-San Francisco’s Center for Gender Equity will get to undergo gender sensitivity indoctrination while their female counterparts take part in all manner of hands-on activities, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The 9- and 10-year-old daughters will get to, for example, work with microscopes, slice up brains, play surgeon or dentist and visiti the intensive care unit nursery. The boys, on the other hand, will "learn about violence prevention and how to be allies to the girls and women in their lives" using media, role playing and group games,
The center’s director, Amy Levine, says the program isn't intended to give boys and girls the same learning opportunities. "It's about dealing with effects of sexism on both boys and girls and how it can damage them," she said. It’s about mirroring "the same sexism that occurs in the classroom daily."[/'quote]

Ok... hold your horses right there until I get this straight...
On 04/18, you ask this:
"What happened to standing up for your principals??? " as a reaction to the Young College Republicans apologizing for a "discriminatory cookie sale". And today, you are stunned by the USCF who basically... ummm... is doing the same?
- Young College Republicans apply affirmative action to the price of the cookies they sell, in order to make a point. The left reacts and you are appaled by that reaction?
- USCF wants to make a point about affirmative action, and you react? Should I be appaled by your reaction now?
So what exactly bothers you about it that doesn't bother you about the Young College Republicans' action? And why are you appaled when the left reacts to the Young College Republicans' action and you react yourself to what is basically the same? Do you want the USCF to apologize but not the Young College Republicans? Why? How? When? HUH?
I've never understood why you really feel the urge to post pitty silly little stories like this that don't prove anything (except that "the left marches on") , but this has me baffled

Ok Neg. I got hold of my horses. I'll try to elucidate.
1. I don't have a problem with anyone standing up for what they believe in. I may ridicule and condem what I view to be a stupid stance on an issue, but I do not fault anyone for standing up for their principles.
2. In the case of the Cookie Sales versus the Sensitivity Training, I essentially look at this as being the same issue, which is a matter of equality. In this particular instance the USCF is dividing the children by gender, and therefore being sexist by default. At least that is the typical response from the Democrats whenever the idea of gender specific classes is brought up for the public school system. If the boys have to take the Sensitivity Training the the girls should have to sit through the same class, if you want to keep the playing field equal, as Democrats claim to endorse. The Young College Republicans are asking for the same thing from our Liberal College Administrations, which is once again "to keep the playing field equal."
3. As for why I post these silly little stories. I think that they do prove that the leadership and primary supporters of the Democratic party are not in touch with the majority of Americans, and that the policies they support are not in step with the religious values of most Americans. (Opinion of Course)
4. Finally the quote "And the Left Marches ON!" I just do that because it annoys Democrats.
Well hopefully I'm clearer than mud now.

Fair enough... it's all the same to me, though. I don't agree with affirmative action and sexism at all. I don't care who it is that stands up for what (I don't believe that "the left" stands up for affirmative action - the extreme left may), and I don't care what they think they must do to get their point across (apparently, it's too difficult to just say "we condone affirmative action" - it must be dummied down?). If the right wants to get its point across by putting different prices on cookies according to who buys them, or if the left wants to get its point across by actively involving girls in chemistry while the boys are being lectured.... fine with me - and I don't see a difference between the two, just like I don't see a difference between the left demanding an apology from the Republican College Boys and you being appaled by the USCF's action...
And the words "left" and "march" in one sentence always makes my day

This is absurd! Another PRIME example of what is wrong...very wrong with the world! Men should be sexist....we should ALL be sexist because *newsflash*....we're DIFFERENT! Men ARE different than women. We should be proud of this. Women and liberals should stop trying to sissify (not sure that's a word) men. Men rule the world. Women should quit complaining.
There...the world....the way it SHOULD be, according to mg.

Yes... Since when do lefties march? Only the Racist whites, Blacks, and Fags march. Lefties "peacefully protest" by chaining their stinky hippy bodies together, snarling city traffic, and preoccupying valuable police time and resources.
I say we dissolve the parties all together, make everyone vote independant. The worst thing that could happen is people are forced to use their brains.

^5 to the Mathematician!
However we have some problems to overcome. Many of our young men are extremely confused because their fathers did not provide the role model they should have. Whether dad was busy tending to his own desires, not home, or whatever the cause; we have a lot of young men that are completely clueless about being a man, about how to treat women, and how to assume responsibility. Unfortunately, they are becoming fathers themselves. Therein lies a dilemma.
cheers
