Hendrix as #1? Come on... anyone can play that well on acid.

I can't beleive that Trey Anastasio is at 143! No respect...

Bleh...only page that even mentioned KMFDM is only available through google's cache. Seems that site has some sort of biased feelings towards 'industrial'.

KMFDM is a techno type band from the 90's. and i personally think yngwie malmsteen, steve vai, satriani and dio should be top 4. also Dimebag should definitely not be that low in the chart.

    Hi phishphreek80,

I forgot...Jimi was not one of my favorites growing up, I didn't much care for the Doors either at the time...I was more into Cream, Ten Years After, Moody Blues, Blood Sweat & Tears, etc...

But I was there in the sixties...and when all the girls were crying and wetting their pants over the Beatles and the Stones...
all the boys wanted their daddies to buy them a guitar so they could be Jimi Hendrix...he was a guitar salesman's wet dream! Of all these guitarists mentioned very few, if any, had the impact on guitar sales that Jimi did.

KMFDM a techno band? hah. KMFDM started in 84, more of an "industrial" band, with a little electronica mixed in. They more or less lost/replaced/added at least one member for every album they released, so their sound varies album to album.

KMFDM - "A Drug Against War" is awesome...that is all.
Everyone is going to die, I am just as good of a reason as any.

Pretty obvious list besides the way some things are sorted and numbered.

Right now im pretty much diggin' Craig Nicholls' & Ryan Griffiths' stuff... every the Vines album I've heard has a solo on just about each & every track. Lots of drug refferences too.
