    The best online AV scan?

For two years I swore by RAV Antivirus's online scan. It found everything, even the stuff in compressed files, like zip files and email files. Now? Their .cab's won't even load sometimes and I'm not as confident as I once was in the results.

Any suggestions as to online scans? I use them to find viruses, then resort to removal tools like Norton's to remove what I find. The combined virii-trojan-spyware threat is so pervasive for Windows machines, it always helps to get the second opinion of an online scan. Thanks.

Yes, I have encountered problems with online scanners. I just delete the folder that the previous one was in and start afresh. That usually works.

Some may have an issue with Mozilla/FireFox/Opera, although I think most have dealt with this problem by now.

I use TrendMicro's "housecall" and Panda Software

I've ALWAYS to run the online scans in IE. Every one I've seen used the acursed & unique ActiveX plug-in, which only works in IE.

    Hi,

    Please try here:

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

When you ask to start the scan it will come up with a prompt to download a plug-in for the NetScape family of browsers.

    Cheers
