    Post Q. startap preventation

I have searching for some startup programs that can silent block all programs, without asking user for chose except them that are allowed. But most of them like winpatrul asking user for answer.

    Any ideas or recommendations?

    thank you

Could you be a little more specific about what you mean by block? Do you mean they can't be installed? Can't run? Can't be made into auto startup?

Thay will not be able to run and add youseslf to startup.
Or that startup destinations will be restored to allowed configuration each time PC starting/shutingdown/restarting.

No it is just if programs are alredy registred in startup areas.
It will just remove some of them.

I need somthing that warks automaticaly, blocking all new entries.

Programs usualy have the option on installation if you wanna add them to startup or not. Just use msconfig.

MrBabis what operating system are we talking here? and is it a network? So is it stuff you do not want to run over a network, on the local machine or both?

WinPatrol will allow you to block start-up by suspending the App. It is still there and the user can launch it manually, but it does not ask them on boot-up.

This is why I find WinPatrol such a useful tool for resolving contention issues at start-up.

For those who do not know it:

It is actually a security tool I suppose, but I use it for all sorts...........hey we've all opened a can of paint with a screwdriver? Very useful when used in conjunction with a memory (RAM) management tool

    OK,

    1. Do you want these programs on the machine, but only for certain users?
    2. Do you want the user to be able to start them, but only as a deliberate act?
    3. Is it that you only want to stop someone adding to the start up menu?

I am trying to clarify your requirement in my own mind, sorry if I appear stupid
