Windows XP file encryption
I tought i'd be smart and encrypt "My documents" sadly i formated my hdd without thinkin of backing up the certificates needed for me to view my encrypted documents. (my first encryption)
So there i'm sitting, with a brand new win XP installation and have no acces to my files. Pretty much sucks, as some of the files where important to me. Password lists, personal images, favourite bookmarks, documents, address lists, and other personally important stuff.
So, what i'm asking you guys. Is there any way at all for me to recover mye "missing" files without having to try to hack the M$ windows file encryption?
PS. Please don't flame..

We've had this up a couple times on here, I don't think anyone has found a way around it yet...
Simply, you're screwed.

You could try something like this to try and search for your certificates ... not sure if it'll work though ...R-Studio Data Recovery Software
Good luck ...
R-Studio utilities recover files
Deleted without Recycle Bin, or when Recycle Bin has been emptied;
Removed by virus attack or power failure;
After the partition with the files was reformatted
, even for different file system;
... Reminds me of the time when I forgot my pgp passphrase ... Took me like 2 weeks to remember the damn phrase ...
