    Uhmmm

    Yeah

    Don't use DNS.

    just say

    go to http://70.85.13.218

By not having your site showup in a nameserver you'll have to delete your site, or just host it from a IP and no domain.

no, you cant and it is pretty pointless to have a website that you want no one to go to. google will find everything if you want restricted access use a password. or make it an internal webpage and hae people VPN into your network first.

There was a 'full-disclosure' thread on this recently:

I suppose they regularly download zone files (as published by Verisign
and others), and perform A record lookups on all listed domains.
Probably they try domains prefixed with "www" as well.

If you don't want your site indexed, use a robots.txt file or use meta tags to tell indexing spiders not to index the site.

You can run a site without a DNS record. However, the IP block your ISP owns will always be resolvable. Take a look at ASN and you'll have an idea about what I'm saying. While yoursite.com may never exist, if you ride Verizon's network, someone will be able to resolve this.
