Men.... We Have an Excuse
Hey Hey,
A recent study has proven that men do have trouble lisening to women and it's not that we tune them out... it's scientific.
Men deciphered female voices using the auditory part of the brain that processes music, while male voices engaged a simpler mechanism, it said.
The Mail quoted researcher Michael Hunter as saying, "The female voice is actually more complex than the male voice, due to differences in the size and shape of the vocal cords and larynx between men and women, and also due to women having greater natural 'melody' in their voices.

Now we finally have an excuse... I made sure my gf read the article
Peace,

That is research ?? ... How about spending money on something more useful ?? One study doesn't really prove anything ....

Hey HT~ brilliant find, and thankyou for sharing
I think that it may go deeper? I have often wondered why I find it easier to understand Belgian, Dutch, German, Russian, Slavonic people; than Chinese or Welsh (all speaking English)....................could it be that the last two are "tonal" languages and the others are "gutteral"? (English is also gutteral).
This would imply that "background music" would in fact, be interference?
I had thought it was due to not having LeeSonic Ear Valves in my day
Cheers
