    Thanks everyone for posting! I'm afraid I can't use PPPoE because I'm pretty sure my ISP doesn't support it, so I may indeed have a problem making IPCop recognise the USB modem.....That may be a big problem. It's worth a shot, but if it doesn't work, then I'll just have to buy a router/modem and set that up.

    P.P.S Egaladeist, thanks for the link (because I always wanted to know about VPNs), but how did that come into this thread?

    Well......you'll soon come to realize that I'm the resident non-computer savvy guy...so...while looking for your answer, and coming up with squat...I figured ' this looks pretty good ', he can probably use this...and there you have it

    Hehehe thanks for that anyway! As I said, I always wanted to know about VPNs Comes hand in hand with the fact that I'm migrating to Linux (and have been for a few months), so your link couldn't have been more coincidencial!
