    Irongeek needs a logo

Hi folks. My site, http://Irongeek.com needs a logo. The one I currently use I have not gotten explicit permission from the artist for, and I’ve tried many times to contact them.

I like the idea of the buff penguin (especial the rock hopper species with the yellow tuffs) but I’m open to other suggestions. I need a version which is just the mascot, and one that has the URL and slogan (Lifting dumbbells in the gym, supporting them at work.) on it.

I don’t have much money, but here is what I’ll do for the person who designs the one I use:

You get to have your name as the artist on the logo as it is seen at the top of the page.
I’ll send you a free t-shirt once I have some made up.

I know that’s not much, but are there any takers?

I'd be willing to give it a shot, what kind of logo would you like "Serious" kind of font, or "Comic Sans MS (however it's spelled) kind of font, wht's the mascot gonna be, and what size do you need it ?

    Free of charge of course

I'm open to ideas. I was thinking of a weightlifting penguin maybe.

    Hi Irongeek,

CopyRight did a pretty good job on a banner recently...if you can't find something you like from one these more proficient computer users...I used to be a freehand illustrator ( all my avatars are my own work ).

    Eg

I did the Tux @ http://www.linuxteens.com/ by tracing a couple of different things such as a tux, a hat, etc. A few more versions of him that I did can be found in our wallpaper thread @ http://www.linuxteens.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107

Not sure if I'm up for making a tux that deviates a lot from the regular penguins though. I'm still trying to come up with several different ideas for a logo for one of my friend's website (this isn't the first time, and they never seem to match what he wants to do with the site). I had a few thought up, but drawing all of them in Inkscape has proved almost impossible...I need to start from pen & paper...
