F8 not working during Windows XP install
I tried to install Windows XP for a friend, but as soon as I get to the EULA I run into problems. The F8 key won't work, but all the rest of the keys do. I have never seen anything like this before. Could this be because I'm using a MS wireless keyboard and mouse, or just a random occurence? I haven't tried swapping the wireless keyboard for another yet.
Has anyone else had any experiences similar to this?

Good Evening,
Obviously without the F8 key that makes it difficult to acknowledge the EULA and continue with the install.
Check his keyboard for an “F-lock Key”. Might be on the side of the keyboard or to the left of the “ESC” Key. If he has one, press it and hopefully that will switch it back to the regular function.

id say generally it is a bad idea to use a wireless keyboard durring an install as a general rule. But the above comment is more than likley right if it is an MS keyboard.

Yep, I don't know if all the usb drivers are installed that early in the process!

Well, obviously the FIRST troubleshooting point would be to try another keyboard. Have you considered that F8 may not work on that particular keyboard? It could be a defective device.
C'mon, that would have taken less damned effort than posting this question in the forum.
