    Bump Feature..

Okay, I'm going to make this short and sweet.. In light of The Specialist situation going on and in light of all the annoying bumps that weren't him anyways, can we please limit the bump feature to either one of the two: 1. The thread starter -or- 2. Mods, Seniors, Addicts, all, etc?

Just not let everyone have the ability to bump things. This way, when that user is banned he can't bump his own threads or others. Personally, I like number one.. Anyways, thanks for your time..

rather than lmmit it in such a way - why not approach it from a different angle and only allow a certain number of bumps in a given timeframe like 1 every 12hrs or something per user? maybe longer. That way it doesn;t limit what threads you can bump and I know i for one hardly ever bump so a time-limit aint going to be a prob.

Dude as far as I know this already is implmented. Besides how hard is it for him to create 12 accounts and do it again?

alot harder than just going along and randomly bumping threads. And if this was emplemented then how was he able to bump all the other ones before?

Also if it is present how was I just able to bump 5 threads in GCC? (sorry for peps seeing these on front page had to prove a point) so errr Gore I think you're talking BS about there being a time restriction already in place.

He had multiple accounts..... And from what I think it was MsMittens... They said they have a limit, not long ago if you bumped more than a few threads it said you can't do it for a while.

Yes, it just told me you can't bump more than twice in 5 hours.

    EDIT:

Weird, it just said that yet I haven't bumped anything in.... A long time.

And don't tell me I'm talking ****, didn't say "No you **** ups don't know what you're saying" I said "As far as I know".

I just bumped 5 in like prolly 2mins - not much of a limit. If there is one either the cut-off point is too high or its broke.

But the whole thing about only the thread started can bump is a joke - alot of the time on here the GOOD conversation/questions/answers starts up mid way through the thread and has very little to do with the thread starter.

    My vote for :

1 bump per user in any 24hrs (perhaps by IP address?)
bumps do not appear on frontpage (configurable by each user like forum display)
bumps cost points - every bump costs 15aps (going to mean bugger all to anyone but means peps who have neg points or people with no points cant bump)

as far as i remember new users start with 10aps(!?) so by mking it 15 they can sign up as many times as they want they still have to have pos aps to bump.

My idea is the one Neg liked:

You can only bump when you get a custom title.
