useful security widgets for tiger
Hello mac users! I searched, and didn't find a similar post, so I thought I would start a list of useful widgets. Many of them are free, and the dashboard seems to have opened up a new, efficient way of performing some simple tasks.here are the ones I have found:
Dashcrypt:"This widget utilizes the OpenSSL libraries built into OS X and uses the AES 256-bit cipher. We recommend archiving your files for smaller encrypted files. Currently, this widget does not archive before encrypting. This requires you to archive ( tar.gz, sit or zip ) directories prior to encryption. "
Dash Shredder:"This Shredder is a simple front end to the OSX command ’srm’ (secure remove). It will overwrite your files 7 times with different data and then zero the data on the drive, making it impossible to recover. "
UNIX Permissions Calculator:"Translates UNIX file permissions between symbolic and octal formats."
The Obfuscator:"Studies say 97% of spam (no, not Spam) happens because you posted your email address to a web page somewhere…The Obfuscator to the rescue! The Obfuscator converts your email address into an encoded string that spambots can’t read, but web browsers and email programs can!"
If you guys can add some widgets,or perhaps suggest some improvements to these, please do!
It seems to be peaceful, but it is incorrect.CATS is still alive.
Zig-01 must fight CATS again. And down with them completely!
