Hyperterminal in Linux
Hi there,
Does anyone know if there is an equivelent of Microsofts Hyperterminal in Linux or more specifically SuSE 8.2?
The reason I am asking is hyperterminal is used to log onto Cisco routers when using windows but I need to log on to one that is attached to a linux box.
I know I can telnet into it but I would prefer to use a different program. Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Hey Hey,
I've never used Seyon, but I can attest for Minicom... It's all I use when working on Cisco gear from my laptop... works beautifully.... The reason I don't use Seyon is that I ran into problems with it in gnome, but minicom is pretty sweet.... it's just like you're in a terminal so copy and paste and everything work the same way and the formatting works much better than it does in HyperTerm.
Peace,
HT
