my computer boots slowly too, i think it has to do with my drives being used near capacity.
Difficult takes a day, Impossible takes a week~Kthln01!

after i type my passoword it take many minites to show me desk top
Had that too, with domain logons.. ..
My windows profile (Documents and Settings) turned out to be some 2gigs, which had to be downloaded from the DC (or whatever that is in Windows lingo) every time..

I've had enough Active Directory headaches to have that WELL drilled into my head by now.
Fancy way of saying "DC" without saying "DC".
