*Flash* Those Prying Eyes
Hmm, how 'bout a bumper mount for those toll highway cameras ?
Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology have come up with an inexpensive way to prevent digital cameras and digital video cameras from capturing that secret shot.

Interesting, but I hope this won't become too widely used. Imagine... You try to take a picture of the Old Town section of a town (such as the one in my hometown) only to have the picture ruined because one of the business had one of these installed in their front office.

Hmm,I'd like to see where they think it'll fit in with the highway cameras and security cameras and so forth.

I need one of these things for my car...
Maybe the cost of this anti-camera device will be less than the tickets for running a red light.
(well, yellow that turns to red mid intersection)
They have these damn cameras at a lot of intersections...
Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

Oddly enough... I remember having a conversation about this exact technology with an analyst of mine some five years ago. He'd read about it and thought it might be a good idea for use in some of the labs. I wonder where he read about it. I guess Einstein was right, the key to creativity really is hiding your sources.
phish... ick, you run red lights? There are two road laws that I really agree with and favor much harsher penalties... running red lights and tailgating. Both are needlessly dangerous and just plain stupid. bleh. Running a yellow is different, so long as you are past the point of no return while the light is yellow all is good.
cheers,
catch
