    Hi jinxy,

Send an e-mail back saying you're very happy that you've won and am looking forward to collecting payment...your wife has been repeatedly requesting that you leave the services of the FBI Internet Fraud Investigation Squad for some time now and this money will be the perfect opportunity to make her wishes come true.

OK I don't get the scam.

I didn't read anything stating that you needed to open an account, verify paypal info, first send a check to...

    No web site to visit

What type of info are these people trying to get.

Perhaps all that comes after you reply to the email address listed.

I think I'll reply and post results

    Later

    NETHERLANDS.
Is a fake address Van Ostadestraat is in the 1072 range not 1073. I cant track down a 70A either only 70.

I've checked. The Cornelis v.d Lijnstraat 188 is only 62.5 KM from where I live. I could drive there within an hour. But for whatever reason my TomTom routeplanner doesn't know about housenumber 188... Apparantly the only thing between 132 and 190 is a sidestreet. A non-existing address, apparantly.
Otherwise I'd be happy to collect your money for you at their address. I only charge 0.1% of the total sum for that service.

So basically, give them all your personal information and your bank account number so they can access your bank account and make a withdrawal from your account...
Sometimes this information is more than enough for them to appear legitimate.

Yea, I know it's a scam, but the original mail is not asking for any information - or did I miss something?

edit: the only request is to forwoard a bunch of #'s to an email address. Which I did, asking for my MoFo Lottery Check

AFIAK none of the 419 scams ask for details on first contact, after all, the perps may not know whether they have a real email address.

Yea, I didn't think of that.

The newer 419 scams have links to web sites you can visit to quickly - and without your knowledge, download all sorts of trojans and malware.

I forgot the original scams were plain email. But even then, didn't the email state you had to open an account and send the account info?
