    SPAM the SPAMMERS

This page has fifty randomly generated email addresses (refresh and new ones will appear). At the bottom of the page is a link to this page again, essentially reloading it for programs to collect more fake email addresses. Email collecting programs (spam bots) will be sent into an infinite loop by following the link at the bottom of the page and will get more and more fake email addresses stuck in their databases.

Spam is the electronic world's biggest problem. A fool proof method of filtering out spam does not yet exist, but we don't have to sit back and take it. Anti-Spam pages like this one make spamming less profitable and is our way to help FIGHT SPAM.

    I Want To Help Out!

Want to help with the Anti-Spam effort? When a spammer's program visits your web page, they will check all the pages that you link to for email addresses. So, all you have to do is link to this page and whenever a spammer's program scans your page, they will be sucked into this one. To link to this page use this simple code:

    <A HREF="http://www.auditmypc.com/freescan/antispam.html">Anti-Spam</A>

thank you, Egaladeist for bringing this to my attention, I for one am quite satisfied with the girth of my gonadal region, and at the age of 17, find no need for viagra. I will certainly add the link to my site, once I have up and running.
It seems to be peaceful, but it is incorrect.CATS is still alive.
Zig-01 must fight CATS again. And down with them completely!
    GOOD LUCK!

Reminds me of that hillarious Cialis commercial with the voice-over that goes something along the lines of, "Should an erection last longer than 4 hours, seek medical attention immediately."

I don't even need viagra anyways.

It's a nice initiative, though. Trying to fool spammers this way but unfortunately it only stops the amateurs. The real professional spammers have all kinds of tricks to collect their information and they will be able to detect these 'honeypot' sites and will just skip them.

Another effective trick that spammers use is by subscribing for dozens and dozens of mailing lists. Especially the Yahoo and Google groups are nice targets for them. All they need to do is set up a few mail accounts and subscribe them to as many lists as possible. They then need an automated mail reader that reads and analyses all incoming emails. Even worse, some people send emails to these lists and also CC them to friends or other lists but as a result, a spammer can build a nice collection of email accounts and some information about the availability of other mailing lists. If you automate the system even further by having the collection program automatically subscribe to every new mailing list it encounters then they could collect a reasonable amount of valid email addresses. The only drawback is of course that it takes time because as long as people don't send emails to those lists, their addresses won't get noticed.

But it does give spammers another way to search for websites with information. By joining these mailing lists they don't only get possible new email accounts but those posts could contain URLs to all kinds of websites. And thus a website that was never added to the Google or Yahoo index could still be visited by a spam spider simply because someone posted the URL to some mailing list...

So, don't just add that URL to your website. Add it as a signature to all your outgoing emails for any mailing list that you're a member of!

What's the clinical term for men who need Viagra?
    Myccoxafailure.

Of course you've heard about the Viagra computer virus, it turns your 3 1/2 inch floppy into a hard disk.

If a man overdoses on Viagra, how do they get the casket lid shut?

    Really? We had no idea.

So anyways, Project Honeypot has a pretty ingenious approach to identifying IP's used by spammers. They offer up bogus email addresses that are recorded and tracked to the IP that made the HTTP request; the bogus email is linked to an MX record that they control or know is not used for legitimate email. When that email address is used, "they gotcha" basically.

It's a similar idea to how ForeScout does their IPS and intruder discovery. Pretty smart, and it seems to work. They also have a lot of info on how to obfuscate email addresses (via html character encoding and coloring, images, etc.), protect your sites and identity, etc. Very community conscious group. All in all, I am a big fan of their work.
