Video games stimulating violence? I played cowboys and indians and didn't know what a "bleep" was. I say GOOD. This country needs a little testosterone.

Computer games should not be blamed for violence in my opinion. I think this is yet another cop out for those that do commit crimes. Just like when parents sued Eminem because his lyrics 'caused' listeners to commit crimes. Or like those kids that went and layed in the street after watching a movie. All it boils down to is this: people blame other people for whatever they can. That's why it's called the blame game What they should be doing is accepting responsibility for their own actions. Again, just my opinion. They'll figure it out, or not.

    TV promotes violence and rudeness.
    Video games promote violence.
    Porno promotes rape.

Then it follows that a murder mystery (in book form.....I hope some of you still have time to read) would promote murder or worse a detective.

What ever happened to the concept of being responsible for your own actions? Damn, a person could blame anything on something else, but it still comes back to the individual in the end.

Nope, every one is responsible for his/her own action, and many have been pleaded guilty as long as they were not maniacs or mentally ill, but this kind of games, can stimulate only people who are having some kind of irrational thinking {improper cognition}, like some mentally ill people {We can't deny their existance} like, who get stimulated but child-pornography ... this is reality, and bunch of stories out there refute otherwise ....

Media can play a key role in directing and creating human behaviours,
For instance, many car drivers {novices} imitate the way they drive on their PlayStation consols, many accidents were the only result .... in my city many happened as well .... I know this is irrational but not all people may think the way you and I do .... not all people have the same thinking pattern, not all people are rational .... many patterns may behave differently ...

    Cheers

    Now that is, so, true.

Black, your car analogie is very acurate. I spent some time in Brunei. The youngsters used to right there selves of at an astonishing rate.

They used to try and emulate the western, go faster car, phylosophy.

Lower the suspention, tweek the gas flow, bigg wheels== cool fast car...............

Change the geometry of a production car, you realy nead to know what the fcuk you are doing.

Otherwise you end up with something very unstable.

I'm talking about cars, because one month ago a youngster destroyed our garden wall with his father's brand-new car, the car was totally demolished, and they guy is in the hospital till now, he was very close to his last breath. Man, this damn car was close to kill my little sister, I would have killed all his family, just to take revenge of what could be done to my sister. .....
Note: He stole the car from his father ... so you know ...

    Cheers ...
