i've been looking into acpi sleep states lately, but i'm a little confused about which state is equivalent to "standby" in windows. all i've been able to find with google is this[quote]When a USB device is enabled to wake the computer, the default behavior permits the computer to enter the S1 system power state for standby. Standby is not the S3 system power state. The S1 system power state is a "lighter" system power state than S3. The S1 system power state typically conserves less power than the S3 system power state.[quote] from support.microsoft.com . i guess S1 is the default "standby" when a usb device is enabled to wake the system, but what about just normally? does anybody know a way that i can specify which state i want to use for standby? or at least what the default sleep state is?
