    floppy disk????or services??

    hi,
    and thankyou for a quick response as usual.
    ok my problem:
    when clicl a: get message disk in drive a is not formated.do you want to format it now?
    when i clik yes it takes ages and then it
    says windows was unable to finish formating.
    so i can not access drive a at all.
    it is enabled in bios.
    i am just wondering is it maybe related to some services which is stoped or disabled???
    just guess
    or need new floppy?

    have you tried going into your command prompt, and typing
    Code:
    format a:
    give that i try

    i tried and got this:
    invalid media or track 0 bad-disk unusable.

    i tried another disk but always same

    Hmmm?

    1. Use device manager and uninstall
    2. Cold boot and let windows re-install
    3. Replace the device if that does not work.

    a) both disks are defective
    b) your floppy drive is defective
