    Creating a wireless connection

Ok... if I know ssid default gateway etc... is there a command I can use to set these and create a wireless network to an accsess point?

sorry about the stupid and vauge question...

    ok...
im trying to set up a connection from my wireless car to my accsess point. I used
    Code:
iwconfig ap (mac address of accsess point)
    ah
    Code:
    IWCONFIG
    shows some info...
    IEE002.11b ESSID '(accsess pont name)'
it shows it mac address and link quality as 100/100 also a signal level

so I thought this would mean there was a connection? but no... maybe there is a connection to the accsess point and not the internet?

    Any help would be great.
