Neowin is reporting that the final release version of FireFox 1.5 is expected today. Here's a list of the features new to version 1.5:

Binary patching with an enhanced automatic update system, eliminating the need to reinstall Firefox for an update or subsequent release

1.5 is "Release Candidate 2" though, so isn't only just a beta version presently?
[edit] Nevermind, answered my own question...
This may not be the final release of our Web browser; it has been made available for testing purposes only, with no end-user support.

Eg, i just downloaded firefox from the link you posted above and once i downloaded it i got this msg: Note: Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 is NOT THE FINAL RELEASE VERSION of Firefox 1.5, it has been made available for testing purposes, with no end-user support. If you do not traditionally use beta software we recommend that you use the latest version of Firefox 1.0
So i do believe its still in beta. just fyi

Yep...a typo...
Magorgeeks has now corrected the typo...site entry now says RC2.
