CD burning problem
I have bought a new case of brand name CD's they are 700/80 32X CD-R. The problem is that when I try to burn them w/ Nero it'll pop out the CD and tell me to instert a "blank medium". These CD's are brand new. What could be a problem here. I am burning audio w/ it being much less then the full capacity. Anyone came accross this problem. This only happens when I burn audio.

just wondering is your burner a + or a - type burner, or can it read/write both +/- type's of disc's..
if you've brought the wrong type of disc's then i'd guess that could be the prob....

what's the CD - RW brand name ?
what's the CD's brand name ?
some brands don't like some other brands ............
have you tried the CD's in another / someone else's CD-RW ?
if they work there, then the problem could be compatability ......
we'll assume the CD-RW works on other media, and has done so recently
so now I'm in my SIXTIES FFS
WTAF, how did that happen, so no more alterations to the sig, it will remain as is now

Ha ve you got clone CD installed? If so make sure the virtual drive setting is not active. Or better still uninstall it temporarily and see if it makes any difference.
I have had similar probs in the past and clone cd turned out to be the culprit.

What version of InCD are you using?
What type of CD-RW media is compatible with InCD 4?
Currently you can find four kinds of CD-RWs on the market:
* Multi Speed Media --> 1 - 4 X
* High Speed Media --> 4 - 12 X
* Ultra Speed Media --> 16 - 24 X
* Ultra Speed+ Media --> 24 - 32 X
Recorder compatibility is indicated by a logo on the front panel of the device. (“Compact Disc Recordable/Rewritable” and “High Speed”, “Ultra Speed”, “Ultra Speed+” or simply nothing in the case of MultiSpeed media.)
A recorder can only rewrite media matching with this logo or media of lower speed.
You might have a look at the recommended media list on the website of the recorder manufacturer. In any case you should make sure that you are using CD-RW with the right speed for your recorder.

Createive 32-8-4 X ... pretty old drive ...
the CD's were Memorex... not some BS
I actually went back to the store and replaced the CD's for a different brand SONY and it worked fine... maybe bad batch.

is that the spec for a DVD R-W ?
are the CD's the right speed for this RW?
did you manually set the speed ?
helpful site
I never said that BS discs wereTHE problem, I said some discs don't seem to 'like' certain RW's

nero determines maximum speed... in this case it was 8
those are specs for CD burner no DVD involved
32x read, 8x burn CDR, 4x burn/erase CDRW
