Copying shares from one server to another

Is anyone aware if there is a way to copy file shares from one server to another while maintaining permissions. I know that xcopy works great for copying the folders along with their NTFS permissions, but I'll need something that would create a new share on the destination server and use the share permissions from the source folders/files.

I've got about 75 folders to copy and resetting the permissions on all of them is going to be a very large pain in the neck.

A good solution that i have used for about 2 years for copying large amounts of data is robocopy.

Thanks for your post, but it doesn't look like robocopy works with share permissions-- only NTFS.

Check this link, I think it has what you are looking for:

Scopy copies files and folders and maintains NTFS and Share permissions.

    Hope that helps.
