The connection was refused when attempting to contact
Hi,
Can anybody get access to www.gdcanada.com or www.gd.com
I've been trying for days using Explorer 5 and Firefox but the
browser keeps poping a message after a 10 seconds that says
connection was refused.
and I've tried all the wrong things ...with firewall ...with no firewall
still no chance.
Cheers,
B.B

Usually when the connection is "refused" it means that there is a misconfiguration at the other end that has the port open but it can't serve anything so it ends up dropping the connection causing your browser/ftp client or whatever to show that message.

Hi,
I just got into both sites from the UK..................VERY FAST response.................maybe they were changing servers or something?
They are probably not to worried about uptime as I doubt if they do much business via e-commerce?

Hi BB
Using your "normal" internet connection method, see if you can get to this site:

Hey Nihil,
I just visited the above site without problems, seems that only General Dynamics
don't like me.
