Linux connection problem
I just got a new Linux Live CD called SLAX KillBill Edition v 5.0.6.
I can get it to boot and run just fine, but the problem is that when I try to access the internet it will not connect. I have a wireless internet connection via a USB adapter. I don't think that it is recognizing the USB Adapter to use to access the net. I don't know much about linux so I could be very wrong . Anyway any instructions or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks
P.S. i did the following
Code:

Not sure what type that is, have a look here:
http://linuxwifi.com/modules/wiwimod/?page=DeviceList
If all else fails, you might be able to get it working using ndiswrapper.

How about
and
or
first ?
I have a linksys pcmcia card and it works nicely with ndiswrapper. A whole while back i wrote a tut on ndiswrapper here too (it should be in Other Tutorials).
Cheers.

I looked on that hardware list and found my adapter, Its WUSB54GS, but there is nothing on that site that i can do about it.
As for "iwconfig -a"
Code:
iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions
eth0 no wireless extensions
eth1 no wireless extensions
sit0 no wireless extentsions
iwconfig -a
-a no such device
When I do lsusb ipconfig and dmesg I get the following :

Code:
#ipconfig
-bash:ipconfig:command not found
The command is called ifconfig that might help.. The windows basterdization is ipconfig though...
I'm guessing the 'Alcor Micro Corp.' usb item is a multi card reader (from dmesg)..
So my guess for the USB wifi would be the 'Belkin' or do you have some bluetooth dongle or something ??
Some info on a simmilar usb wifi thingy can be found here: http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/howto/howto.html
