Is NOD32 the best av.there is at this moment?
Is NOD32 the best av.there is at this moment?
The first time i heared about NOD32 was when i downloaded the new version of the freeware hitmanpro antispywaresoftware(hitmanpro.nl)
When Hitmanpro started NOD32(trial version) i saw a speed i ve never seen before!
This was the moment when i started thinking of saying goodbye to Norton.
After installing hitmanpro on a friends pc and seeing NOD32 catch some new unknown virus and several spyware(think it was something like pretty boops.exe and some others)i desided to read a bit more about NOD32.
What i found while reading was:Real-time protection against viruses, spyware, adware, and identity theft.
NOD32 offers the best detection, fastest performance, and smallest footprint available,Unprecedented heuristic analysis And more!
Key Features Include

Awards
http://www.eset.com/news/awards.htm
For trial
http://www.eset.com/download/trial.htm
Update info
http://www.eset.com/support/info.php
So after reading all this info i desided it was time to buy NOD32.
At this moment,i think this is the best AV you can buy!
Any of you guys and gals also use NOD32?(sorry for any typos)

Why buy when you can have AVG, Avast, AntiVir... for FREE.

Hi, I have used it in the past, and consider it to be a solid and reliable product overall.
I like the heuristics, but it does tend to err on the cautious side. I don't mind that as I know how to investigate to see if it is a false positive......................however, I wouldn't give it to an inexperienced user.
It is both small and fast
As for "best"..............these products leapfrog each other every month...................I do tend to avoid Norton & McAfee in a domestic or SOHO environment because they have become very bloated and prone to conflicts.
I guess I would be happy to use it as my AV if I had to, but there are free ones like AVG and AVAST that are pretty good?

I do acctualy use NOD32, its not bad, still running it through the hoops but I do like the hourly updates etc, quite snazzy but not flashy or fancy.
As for your way of posting, if your a serious member, don't post as if you are trying to sell a product, you will find yourself at the end of a very short anti-point laced rope.

right now I plaing with VBA32 antivirus and it pretty cool, in limited trial version it can just detect viruses but not remove them, but GUI is nice....
I used NOD32 for a few years ago and I have nothirng bad to say about it, but to not repeat myself you can refer to this thread for answers:

there is not exactly about NOD32 but some thing to look at before buying NOD32 and any other software, i think
// too far away outside of limit
