    Smile Old & Slow?

    Hi Folks,

Like myself, the planet Earth is getting older and slower

Don't forget that tonight's the night you adjust your clocks for the "leap second"

Yes and the extra second will most certainly come in handy. i'm planning on using the extra second wisely.

and to think i saw the name of the thread, and i was thinking it would be something about a computer or something..
Nihil you certainly know how to make misleading thread names..

    cheers

    Heee, Heee,

Actually, there is a vague connection?

There has been some debate recently as to whether we go to Universal Standard Time (based on atomic clocks) and dump GMT (based on solar/planetary relationships).

Technologists favour UST for the ease of synchronisation of computers, GPS systems and so on. Astronomers and traditionalists favour GMT because it observes the traditional day/night approach, and the changes in our solar system.

I only thought about it because of the countdown to the new year......................the mere fact that I was pissht at the time had absolutely nothing to do with it.............honesht
