See y'all in a couple of days

    Hey Hey,

So I'm walking home from work today, slip on some mud and go down hard on my shoulder/neck/head.... no ones sure if I lost consciousness or not...

Due to the fact that I had brain surgery when I was younger.... I'm missing bone in the back of my head... this immediately made the fall a big deal... Also the immense pain in my head and shoulder added to it... so it was off to emerge..

After a couple of hours there, some neurological tests and a CT Scan (about my 100th)... it's been concluded that there's no real damage but that I need a few days of rest to recover... This means no PC because the monitor is bad for me right now... I'm going to try and sneak on when my gf isn't looking.. or if I get really bored.. just to check up... but for the next day or two I'll be PC less and missing work...

My boss already lectured me for missing time... but I've got a note for him and everything so if I get bitched at I'll be rather upset... I've left my cell number and said I'd come in if they needed me to do something...

Anyways... I'm off to relax and nurse my sore arm.... YAY Ibuprofen ... Gore: can ya send me some real meds??

    Peace,
    HT

HT, you're not getting any from me. Specially for a head injury. That may take car of the pain but Opiates increase blood flow in the brain which is probably why you were given Motrin in the first place. I highly recommend you don't take anything Opiate related until this has passed and been given time, and before you do you should check with a Dr who specialises in head injuries.

Sorry man, but head injuries and Opiates don't mix as the blood flow in your brain + preassure in your brain would rise up from this and I don't know the details of what the Drs said. However, if some Dr is stupid enough to give you Opiates with that injury I'll gladly save your life and take them from you.

    Hey Hey,

Thanks for the support everyone... I guess the damn newbies gonna have to get used to my way

Anyways... I'm putting in a 30 minute session to see if I can go back tomorrow to wrap up loose ends and but it's not looking very good.... I get quezy (sp?) and a horrible headache every time I look at the monitor... My note said 1 - 3 days to recover... I'm just worried that my boss is going to get pissed off if I don't go in tomorrow... Everyone says I have to get recover but I dunno if he'll see it that way... it seems like he's a business first kind of guy... It's only been 3 months so I'm not so sure.

It's been an awful couple of days... let me tell you that being around the house with no PC access really limits what you can do... I can't play guitar.. it's too loud and bothers me... and no one else is home during the day which leaves me with watching TV... even with all the movie networks and everything there isn't a lot to watch....

I never realized how much I relied on email and instant message to keep in touch with people....

Anyways.. Thanks again everyone... This message took almost my full 30 minutes to type (had to keep turning away)... so I don't think I'll be going to work tomorrow... God I hate this.

    Peace,
    HT
