Hi lcbs1, What PowerPoint version are you using?

Goto Insert > Picture > "Select" From File > "Choose your Jpeg" > The Picture is imported to the slide.

To convert it to .ppt , Goto File > Save > "Anyname.ppt"

Your jpg is now converted to a PowerPoint Presentation.

    Strange indeed,

Have you tried creating a new slide, or are you trying to insert it into an existing one?

If you haven't tried a new slide please do so, and let me know what happens.

    1. Why is this in Operating Systems ?
I have this photo that I want to change a bit it is a JPEG file...
    2. Are you saying you want to edit this jpeg image with powerpoint..
That's like tightening a screw with a hammer..
You could use MsPaint for image manipulation (even better would be a descent graphics suite).

it sounds like you are running the PP viewer NOT PP itself
so now I'm in my SIXTIES FFS
WTAF, how did that happen, so no more alterations to the sig, it will remain as is now

    Yep ........

PP would entail BUYING some S/W. the viewer is free ...........
same for adobe, the reader is a freebie, but to make a pdf means you gotta spend

try and play with the image in paint first [copy it first ]
or see if you can get hold of photoshop

I use ACDSee [I like it, go figure]
