Campus Computer Security Series
The Educause website wanted some videos to educate incoming college students about some basic computer security topics:

I decide to lend my expertise to some young ladies at my campus and make some videos. This first one is on using Windows and Mac OS X’s updating features. Granted, it’s not as technical as most of the stuff on my site, but it seems quite a few of you work in higher education IT departments and these video might be useful to raise awareness in your campuses student population. Also, I think you would rather look at these ladies than me. The videos use the XVID codec. Enjoy:

Edit:I decided to put both up today.

Wow Irongeek you really get around. Do you cover IL forums? Haven't seen you over there. Anyway, like I said everywhere else, nice work.

Great job, Aderian!
I have notice, I guess these thread should be posted in another forum, because this one is dedicated for tutorials ....
Cheers

Well, they are video tutorials. If the admins here would rather me put them someplace else I can, I just figured this was the best place. To help when people do a search of the forum should I post the scripts in this thread as well?
Feel free to use them at your school if you like.

Looks like the contest finished, so I figured I'd let you all know how the girls did. The girls did not place, but here are the ones that did:

While I have to admit most of them have more polish then ours, THERE'S NO USERFUL INFORMATION! Fine, I need to install AV and apply updates, care to show the students how! Awareness is a fine and dandy I guess, but how about some application? And what the **** is this McCumber Cube ****? I hope I don't sound that bitter, but I was hoping more for some useful training videos to come out of this project, then again the title was "Computer Security Awareness Video Contest".
