    Windows Media Player

    Greetings...
    I know i have a lot of problems and question about my computer but does anybody know of a good alternative for windows media player. I am having troubles with many areas of it and i want to change it now.

    Any suggestions welcome or troubleshooting

    Try VLC media player
    It's quite good..

    There are heaps of alternatives to Windows Media Player. I found Musicmatch Jukebox
    alright.
    Not everyone has your knowledge and experience...
    So give everyone a fair go.

    I know this might not be the kind of response you wanted, but what kinds of problems are you having? I use Windows Media Player on a regular basis and love it! I never seem to have problems with it.

    (Disclaimer: I am running the latest available version though. That may cause bias.)

    my problem is i can get the visual of the dvd but no sound. I can usually fix the odd problem but this one has got me stumped.

    You should try and go to the Windows Media website on microsoft.com and download all available codecs.
