and on some systems you have to use the xconf command just before startx. Had to do that on my Dell GX260.

i am a great fan of auditor , so i decided to try the new beta release unfortunatly like all betas there are some problems. To do a quick test of the os i booted the iso up in vmware and everything worked correctly except for my NAT network connection wouldn't work. This is odd since auditor workes fine so does phlax..
And :Singh: have you tried Auditor? did that work in gui mode?

l33tg33k - BackTrack doesn't enable dhcp by default. Use 'dhcpcd <interface>' and it should do the trick.
