Thread: When Editing Posts

    When Editing Posts

I noticed there were some DB problems earlier and might be related to this.

Try to make a post on this thread and submit.
    Edit and submit your changes.

Don't ask my why I had to edit a thread twice but I did.
I noticed that if you are trying to edit a post twice, the second time you click edit the changes from the fist edit are no longer there.

Obviously not a big deal but I figured I would share what I found in case someone cares.
    Thanks,

if you are saying that when you edited for the second time, that the time of the first edit was lost ?
then that would appear to be normal
as it just carries the time of the LAST edit on the post
and the changes from BOTH will still be in place

and yes, I've had to edit some of my missives PLENTY of times
so now I'm in my SIXTIES FFS
WTAF, how did that happen, so no more alterations to the sig, it will remain as is now

I don't think that is supposed to happen.

If I edit a post it should let me start from the last point it was saved, no matter if it was the 1st, 2nd, or third time.

Maybe I was not clear when I had expained it. Or I am going crazy (could be ) if thats the case please call me on it.

Make a post. Edit and save. Press edit again, the changes you just made are no longer there.

Is this how it is supposed to be? I may be wrong. If so, why?
    Thanks,

What browser are you using, if it's Firefox, sometimes the editing or posting for the first time anyways, opens up the Java console which allows you to edit or paste into the post, and depending on your FF settings, maybe their not being completed?

    1st edit...

2nd edit..and my 1st one is still there....are you hitting Reset Message by mistake instead of Save Changes?

Yeah, I use FireFox normally but I am at work right now and use only IE.6 . Good call though!
    Thanks,
