    Lightbulb get pc info

hello, im not sure if im posting on the correct thread, but here goes.
I need a software that works over the network, he would scan the network and give all hardware information, including printers installed.
Is there a program that would that to me?
    Thanks

You might like to check this out:

    http://www.lavalys.com/

    The product is called "Everest"

It isn't free, but you don't get much that is any good and will run over a network these days Network capabilities generally only come with commercial versions of software.

Eerrrmm ...what OS are you using ??

If you are using WinXP Pro (or on a windows 2000 pro/server)
you could offcourse use the "System Information" located in Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools

Then on the menu click View -> Remote Computer ..or just type ctrl+R (In Windows 2000 pro you right-click the local computer and choose properties to change the current pc)

It gives you everything you need of other windows PC's including printers (look under "Compnents" printing).
Offcourse you need to have admin rights on that pc or the network!!

Is that what you are looking for ??

hmm im looking for a tool to work on the network. I don't want to check computer by computer for every components installed.
I want a tool that i install on a single computer, then he scans the network, and gives me a list of the hardware and software used on each computer.
    Thats what im looking for.
